Proposed Amendments to Chapter Bylaws

This past August, ASSE members made the historic decision to change the organization’s name to the American Society of Safety Professionals.

ASSE members voted to amend Society bylaws to reflect the new name. As a separately incorporated entity, our chapter needs to hold a separate chapter member vote to change the name in our bylaws, as well.

A Message from the President

Greetings Piedmont Chapter ASSE members!  A new year is here and there has been much change within the Board over the last couple of years.  Most recently with that of the departure of our elected 2017-18 Board President, Mary Jo Press, due to relocation in a new professional position.  As president-elect, I will be assuming the role of Chapter president for the remainder of the year. I am a bit overwhelmed but promise to try my best in the new role.  Also, I want to let you know that I am excited about the opportunity and hope to continue positively growing the Chapter and the field that other Board members have laid the foundation of for us in the region.
